Information stored on your device
Wake stores alarm settings, wake preferences, saved destinations, live-context snapshots, journey timing, and personal Insights on your device. Wake may access Calendar, location, notifications, Live Activities, WeatherKit, and MapKit only when those features are enabled and the required system permission is available.
Optional account and cloud data
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple account identifier and any name or email address Apple makes available. Your email may be an Apple private relay address. Wake also sends a device name and an app-scoped device identifier to identify and manage that device's account session.
Wake uploads alarm backups and journey records to your account. Depending on the features you use, that cloud data can include alarm names and settings, calendar-derived commitment titles and times, destination names and precise destination coordinates, planned wake and leave times, and automatically measured departure and arrival times. We use this information to provide backup, synchronization, personal Insights, and aggregate product analytics. An account is not required to use alarms stored locally.
Raw HealthKit samples remain on your Apple devices. With Health permission, Wake and its Apple Watch app may process sleep stages and motion or heart-rate-derived evidence on-device to look for a lighter waking opportunity inside your safe wake window. If you are signed in, Wake also requires a separate, off-by-default confirmation before sharing derived sleep summaries—such as sleep duration, sleep balance, bedtime variation, sleep-stage coverage, and session timing—with your Wake account dashboard. Wake does not upload raw HealthKit samples or raw heart-rate readings. You can withdraw dashboard-sharing consent in Wake Settings at any time; disabling it stops new sleep-summary uploads and removes those values from the next dashboard projection.
When you use Premium, we retain subscription transaction identifiers, product and environment information, entitlement dates and status, and an account-scoped billing identifier so we can verify access, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and reconcile changes reported by Apple. Apple processes payment information; Wake does not receive your full payment-card details.
Optional diagnostics
If you enable Share Diagnostics during onboarding or in Settings, Wake assigns a random installation identifier and collects operational events from that installation. These events can include app and operating-system versions, component and operation names, success or failure outcomes, safe reason codes, numeric error codes, durations, counts, and background-task status.
Diagnostic events do not include alarm names, calendar titles or contents, saved addresses, destinations, precise coordinates, raw exception text, or stack traces. When you are signed in, new account-scoped diagnostics may also be associated with your Wake account. The service may derive a short-lived, non-advertising source fingerprint from request information to enforce anonymous diagnostic rate limits and defend against abuse.
Diagnostic sharing is off until you enable it. You can withdraw consent at any time in Wake Settings. Turning it off immediately stops new diagnostic collection and deletes diagnostic reports waiting to upload from your device. Previously uploaded anonymous reports are retained for the limited period described below and may not be identifiable as yours.
Beta feedback
If you choose Send Beta Feedback, Wake sends the category and impact you select, app and operating-system versions, a random installation identifier, and—when available—a safe Wake occurrence identifier with reliability checkpoint states. This structured report does not include a free-form message, alarm name, calendar title or contents, location, address, destination, or coordinates. It may be associated with your Wake account when you are signed in.
Website and support information
If you join the waitlist, contact support, or use the website dashboard, we process the information you submit. The dashboard uses essential login-session and short-lived Sign in with Apple browser-binding cookies to prevent login substitution and replay. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.
