Wake gently, when possible

Smart Wake on Apple Watch

Inside your safe wake window, Smart Wake looks for movement patterns that may suggest a gentler waking opportunity and can offer an early wrist haptic. This is an inference, not a measurement of sleep stage.

Eligible from the first night

After setup, with the required permissions and sensor availability, Smart Wake can look for an opportunity on the first night. There is no mandatory shadow period. An early haptic is not guaranteed; personalization can improve as Wake observes more nights.

The iPhone deadline remains

If no suitable opportunity is identified, the scheduled iPhone alarm remains the fallback. An early opportunity does not itself remove that alarm; confirming you are awake completes the occurrence.

Still being validated

Watch overnight behavior, haptics, battery use, and disconnected recovery are undergoing physical-device beta validation. First-night eligibility is not a reliability guarantee.

Private by design

Raw HealthKit samples stay on your devices. Sharing derived sleep summaries with your Wake account requires separate consent and can be disabled at any time.

Try Wake

Wake is in beta and free for beta participants. Access is personally onboarded. Requires iOS 26.2; the companion Watch app requires watchOS 26.2. Physical-device reliability validation is ongoing.
